Cecelia L. Denton, 84, of New London Turnpike, Coventry, RI, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at home. She was married to the late Richard D. Denton and was the daughter of the late George and Lucille (Tuffs) Parenty.
Mrs. Denton was an assembly worker at Victor Electric in West Warwick, RI for many years.
She is survived by four children; Richard D. Denton, Jr., Dennis W. Denton, Debra Rankin, and Katherine Cain, three sisters; Georgette Jacques, Marie Gareau, and Irene Vervile, eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter; Carol Lopes, two brothers; George and Harold Parenty, and three sisters; Fay Lawrence, Beverly Denton, and Caroline St. Germain.
A funeral home service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:00 am in Gorton Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Greenwich Cemetery, in East Greenwich, RI.
