Dennis R. Burns

Dennis R. Burns, 63, of Main Street, Fiskeville, RI, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Bringham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. Born on February 23, 1955 in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Victoria (Dalton) Burns. They were married for thirty-eight years. He was the son of the late Hugh Burns and Marion (Warner) Crowley.

Dennis was an installation mechanic for General Dynamics Electric Boat, North Kingstown, RI, for thirty-five years. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking and loved to build bird houses.

Besides his wife he is survived by two children; Jonathon R. Burns and his wife Beth and Aimie L. Stomberg and her husband Jesse, a brother; Robert Burns and two grandchildren; Nina and Jackson.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
