Donna Lee (DeMoranville) Rose

Donna Lee Rose (DeMoranville), 67, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formally of Coventry, RI, passed away on September 28, 2016 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was married to her loving and devoted husband Wayne Rose of 48 years. She was the daughter of the late Pauline (Crone) Richie and William DeMoranville.  

Donna worked as an Executive Assistant for twenty plus years for the Kent Center, in Warwick, RI until her retirement in 2008. At that time, she and her husband relocated to South Carolina.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her four children: Lori (Rose) David and her husband Michael, Lisa Rose and her husband Jason, Wayne Rose, Jr. and Ashley Rose. She was also the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Danielle, Kevin, Ryan, Blake, Rita, Theresa, Michael, Ava, and Sadie, as well as great-grandmother to Camron David. She is also survived by her devoted sister: Cynthia Richie of Palm Coast, Florida, whom she affectionately referred to as “sissy”. She was predeceased by her granddaughter:  Haeven Lee Rose. 

Donna is most remembered by all for her unconditional love, heart, sense of humor and wit. She was the first to say that her greatest gifts were her children, grandchildren and her husband. Donna held a very special place in her heart for her lifelong friends. Simply put, to know her was to love her.

A memorial celebration will be held in her honor on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016, at the Christ United Church, Fantasy Way, Myrtle Beach. Family and friends are asked to arrive at 1:15 pm and the service will begin at 2:00 pm. There will also be a celebration of her life and funeral services in Rhode Island at Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, on October 15th, 2016, calling hours from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, service from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
