Eleanor (Ballard) Dugas

Eleanor Dugas, 102, of Brookfield Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry, RI. Born in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late William Dugas Sr. and the daughter of the late Isaiah and Elizabeth (Charboneau) Ballard.

Eleanor was a homemaker to her loving family and enjoyed playing bingo.

Eleanor is survived by six children; Willliam Dugas Jr. and his companion Jo-Ann, John Dugas and his wife Patricia, Richard Dugas and his Jenevieve, Robert Dugas and his wife Jodi, Paul Dugas, Stephen Dugas and his wife Carolyn, fourteen grandchildren; Stacey, Jennifer, Brian, Michael, David, Kevin, Lori, Kelli, Stefani, Justin, Kristin, Caroline, Tyler and Cory and fourteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great grandson; Jonathan Raymond Hamel Jr., a brother; Arhur Ballard, two sisters; Dorothy Galant and Anita Anderson and two daughters in law; Jill Dugas and Mary Dugas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Ss. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry, RI. A calling hour will be held prior from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.   Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
