Emma H. Roberts, 91, of Cranston, RI, passed away on January 28, 2015 at Cra-Mar Meadows. Born in Providence, RI, she was married to the late Henry V. Roberts, Sr. She was the daughter of the late Lewis P. And Cora M. (White) Sheldon.
Emma was a loving homemaker to her family and belonged to the Family Sheldon Association, 1770 Doll Club of RI, and the Annalee Doll Club. She was an avid doll collector and loved animals and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother.
She is survived by seven children; Henry V. Roberts, Jr., Edwin L. Roberts and his wife Ginny of Chadbourn, NC, Vincent J. Roberts and his wife Karen, Norman L. Roberts and his wife Paula, Wayne L. Roberts and his wife Debra, Douglas W. Roberts and his wife Ann Marie, and Gail A. McGinn and her husband Robert, two brothers; Albert E. Sheldon and Robert N. Sheldon, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her son; Kenneth E. Roberts and her brothers; Edward R. Sheldon and Eugene F. Sheldon, and one sister; Shirley Bell.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
