Janice M. (Osenkoski) Sparling

Janice M. Sparling, 74, of Kelly Lane, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, Providence, RI. Born in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Russell Sparling and the daughter of the late Felix R. and Celia T. (Andrukiewicz) Osenkoski.

Janice was a Registered Nurse working at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for many years. She was also the Co-Proprietor of A to Z Rental later called Coventry Rental Center and the Co-Proprietor of Coventry Cinema. Janice was a graduate of Bay View High School, East Providence, RI, class of 1961 and a graduate of Salve Regina in 1965 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

She is survived by three children:  David R. Sparling and his domestic partner Lisa Rizzo, Laurie J. Sparling and her husband Peter J. Smith, and Mark W. Sparling and his wife Miho Kajiwara; a sister:  Phyllis Lucas and her husband George Lucas; and five grandchildren:  Olivia, Jonah, Sarah, Layna, and Emma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 am in Ss. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry, RI. Interment will follow at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
