John A. Aspray

John A. Aspray, 82, of Old Plainfield Pike, Scituate, RI, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry, RI, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 23, 1936 in Providence, RI, John was the husband of Frances E. (Hebditch) Aspray. They were married for fifty-eight years. He was the son of the late John and Florence (Randal) Aspray.

John was a Pastor at Shannock Baptist Church, Shannock, RI. He has been a Pastor for thirty years at various churches. John was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife he is survived by five children; Craig A. Aspray, Brenda L. Liedtike, Karen L. Amsbaugh, Naomi R. Barbosa and John D. Aspray and sixteen grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister; Carol Fortune.

A church service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Shannock Baptist Church, 1632 Shannock Road, Shannock, RI. Calling hours will be held prior at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial with US Military Honors will be held in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
