John F. Dwyer Jr.

John F. Dwyer Jr., 78, of Weaver Hill Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at RI Hospital, Providence, RI. Born on March 3, 1941 in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Nancy (Gray) Dwyer and the son of the late John F. Sr. and Dorothy I. (Fiske) Dwyer.

John worked in facilities maintenance at National Grid, Brayton Point, Fall River, MA, for twenty-eight years until retiring in 1998. He was a US Marine veteran serving in peace time.

Besides his wife Nancy he is survived by three children; John F. Dwyer III and his wife Elizabeth, Donna Tiernan and her husband J, and Tammy Dwyer; and one grandson, Adam Dwyer and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters; Barbara Barrett and Norma Branch.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
