Joseph Charles Parker, 54, of Providence, RI, passed away unexpectedly at home on the 24th of June, 2016. He was the son of Louise Parker Duquette and the late Ernest E. Parker, Sr. Born in Warwick, RI, Joe lived there before moving to West Warwick and then to Providence.
Joe held several different jobs through the years with his favorite being in the food industry. He loved to cook for family and friends.
Joe will be remembered for his generous spirit, and his loyalty and love of family, but most of all for his heart of gold.
He will be sadly missed by his family and his friends in and around Providence.
His family would like to thank the special group of people at the Providence Center for being there for Joe and for assisting us through this difficult time.
Besides his mother, Joe is survived by his three sisters; Kathyann Martin, Elaine Gawthrop and Diane Fisher, as well as three brothers; Ernest E. Parker, Jr., Stephen Parker, and Mark Parker, Sr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A quiet service for Joe will be held at the Gorton Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI on Wednesday, the 13th day of July, 2016 at 5:00 PM.
