Kenneth R. Bouchard, 80, of Hancock Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019, at home. Born on January 7, 1939, in Manville, RI, he was the husband of Jeannette S. (Rousseau) Bouchard. They were married for fifty-eight years. He was the son of the late Elcy and Marion (Rondeau) Bouchard.
Kenneth was a concierge for Sheraton Hotel, Warwick, RI, for many years until retiring. Prior to he worked in transport at Quonset Point Naval Air Station until 1976.
Kenneth was a US Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the DAV chapter #9, Warwick, RI. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2 and a member of Pasco Serenchia Post #2, both of West Warwick, RI. He was a devoted member of the St. John & Paul Church, Coventry, RI, a former Boy Scout Webelos Leader, and a coach for Central Coventry Little League.
Besides his wife Jeannette Bouchard, Kenneth is survived by two children; Keith A. Bouchard and his wife Karen and JoyceAnn M. Westervelt and her husband Scott, four grandchildren; John, Kaitlyn, Jacob and RaileyAnn, a great-grandson; Lucas and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son; Kevin M. Bouchard, a brother; Normand Bouchard, a sister; Margaret M. Lamontagne, and two grandchildren; Jameson and Jarrett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019, at 10:00 am in the St. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry, RI, followed by US Military Honors. Burial will be private.
