Stephen M. Salvas, Sr., 47, of Deborah Avenue, Coventry, RI, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at home. Born in Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Sarah A. (Sheldon) Salvas. They were married for twenty years. He was the son of Dennis H. and Madeline (Lecuivre) Salvas.
Stephen was a mechanic for Grieco Honda, in Johnston, RI, for fifteen years. He enjoyed working on cars, heavy metal music and was a member of the Ninth Civic online forum.
Besides his wife and parents he is survived by two children; Stephen M. Salvas, Jr. and Austin M. Salvas, a brother; Scott C. Salvas and father and mother-in-law Donald and Georgette Sheldon.
A funeral home service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be prior from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Burial will be private.
