William E. Brown

William E. Brown, Sr., 77, of Victory Highway, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at RI Hospital, Providence, RI. Born in Cranston, RI, he was the husband of Virginia M. (Andrews) Brown. They were married for sixty years. He was the son of the late Howard and Josephine (DeSimone) Brown.

William was a heavy equipment operator for Miozzi, Incorporated of Exeter, RI, for many years until retiring. He was a US Army veteran serving in peace time and he enjoyed going to auctions.

Besides his wife he is survived by seven children; Penny L. Brown, Patty A. Larocque and her husband Ronald, Billie Jean Brown, Kathy L. Lagerstrom and her husband Jack, Sheila M. Brown, William E. “Bill” Brown, Jr. and his wife Kimberlie and Glenn R. Brown, two brothers; Hollis Brown and Domenic “Butch” Brown, seven sisters; Esther Marlette, Barbara Andrews, Lois Waldeck, Sandra Rathbun, Joann Quatrocchi, Debra Moretti and Valerie Bellville, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
