Daniel A. Danis

Daniel A. Danis, 82, of Angelwood Road, Coventry, RI, passed away peacfully on Friday, June 25, 2021 at home. Born on February 16, 1939 in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Joanna (Sears) Danis. They were married for sixty years. He was the son of the late Elizabeth (Bellmix) Danis.

Daniel was a retired US Military serviceman serving in the US Navy, US Army Reserves and was a retired Senior Master Sargent from the US Air Force Reserves. Daniel was also the former Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hopkins Hill Fire Department, Coventry, RI.

Besides his wife Joanna Danis, he is survived by three daughters; Ann-Marie Brien, Susann LeClair and Denise Grenier, five grandchildren; Stephanie Grenier, Ashley Grenier, Andrew LeClair, Jacob LeClair and Derick Brien. Daniel was predeceased by a granddaughter; Kacie Grenier, a brother; Robert Danis and a sister; Carol Lussier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Ss. John & Paul Church, 321 South Main Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will held on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
