Harriet G. Hodson, 92, of Tiogue Avenue, West Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2020. Born on May 8, 1928 in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Earl L. Hodson Sr., and the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Dunleavy) Barnes.

Harriet worked for McCloud Optical in Warwick, RI before retiring in 1993. Prior to that she worked as a shipper for KMT Jewelry in Warwick, RI. Harriet is survived by a son Earl L. Hodson Jr. a Warwick, RI police officer (RET), a daughter; Cynthia E. Cottrill, six grandchildren and ten great grand children. She was predeceased by a daughter; Lynn M. Ethier and brothers and sisters.

She was a member of the Esperanza book club and was an avid reader. Harriet enjoyed crocheting and spent many hours creating blankets which were donated to the Wounded Warriors Project as well as to numerous family and friends. With her kind heart and compassion , Harriet was always willing to help those who were less fortunate. Through the years, she provided comfort and wisdom to many who were experiencing difficulties and hardship. Even in her final days, she continued to place the welfare of others above herself.
