Irene V. Pysz, 97, of Weaver Hill Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry, RI. Born on September 15, 1926, in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Mitchell W. “Mike” Pysz and the daughter of the late Leon and Margaret (McMahon) Bessette.

Irene was a packer for Leviton Manufacturing, Warwick, RI, for many years before retiring. She enjoyed playing bingo at Foxwoods Resort, CT. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Irene is survived by a daughter; Patricia S. (Pysz) Izbicki and her husband Thomas, a son in law; Robert Wodecki, five grandchildren; Daniel Wodecki and his wife Amanda, Michael Wodecki and his wife Laura, Matthew Wodecki and his wife Gessenia, Mallory (Izbicki) Davis and her husband Taylor, Dylan Izbicki and three great grandchildren; Caroline B. Wodecki, Owen Wodecki and Alaina Wodecki and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter MaryAnn L. Wodecki, four brothers; Joseph Bessette, Leo Bessette, James Bessette and Edward Bessette and two sisters; Katherine Bousquet and Rita Hickey.

Irene’s service will be private.
