Jeanne M. (DesGranges) Gauthier

Jeanne M. Gauthier, 88, of Morris Street, Coventry, RI, passed away Sunday May 16, 2021 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI, surrounded by her family. Born on November 3, 1932 in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Joseph M. Gauthier and the daughter of the late Cloyde and Nativa (Dupre) DesGranges.

Jeanne was a cook for twenty-five years for the State of Rhode Island school lunch program. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed motorcycling, boating and camping with her family.

Jeanne is survived by a daughter; Charlotte Moore, two grandchildren; Shawn Hoxsie and Michelle Pflomm and her husband Alexander, five great grandchildren; Ethan, Cody, Leah, Molly and Naomi and many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed the companionship of her beloved dogs Holly and Mia. She was predeceased by three brothers; Gilbert DesGranges, Cloyde DesGranges and Richard DesGranges and a sister; Jacqueline Lesniak.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12:00 pm (noon) in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A calling hour will be held prior from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will be private.
