John H. Capwell Sr.

John H. Capwell Sr., 67 of Austin Farm Road, Exeter, RI, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2021 surrounded by friends and family at home. Born on October 21, 1954 in Warwick, RI, he was the loving husband of Ronda (Mullins) Capwell. They were together for forty-seven years. He was the son of the late Arthur Brayman and Thelma Capwell.

John was an arborist for Warwick Tree Service, Warwick, RI, for twelve years. He was also an auto mechanic for Richmond Tire and Diesel, Richmond, RI before retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Exeter 2 Volunteer Fire Department, Exeter, RI. He enjoyed being with family, camping with his wife Ronda at the Charlestown Breachway in their RV, fishing, cooking and being a jack of all trades. He was also willing to help anyone in need.

Besides his wife Ronda Capwell, John is survived by two sons; John Lawrence Sr. and his wife Christine, John Capwell Jr. and his wife Jeannie, a daughter; Crystal Wall and her husband Robert III, eight grandchildren; John Lawrence Jr and his wife Emily, Matthew Wall, US Army Spc. Jazzmin Wall, Kelsey Lawrence, Joshua Capwell, Sara-Elizabeth Wall, Jacob Capwell and Ensley, two great grandchildren; Olivia Lawrence and Hunter Lawrence, two brothers; Arthur Brayman and Lloyd Capwell, three sisters; Beverly Brennan, Alice Morgan and Betty Thayer and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson; John H. Capwell III, a brother; Robert Capwell and three sisters; Louise Zampini, Gloria Waterman and Patricia Capwell.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A Calling hour will be held prior from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
