Kenya A. Clairborne, 40, of Kenyan Hill Trail, Richmond, RI, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at RI Hospital, Providence, RI. Born on November 16, 1982, in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of Wayne Clairborne and step daughter of Charlene Clairborne.

Kenya was a physical therapy assistant for Access Point of RI, Cranston, RI for six years. She enjoyed painting and home improvement projects. Kenya grew up in East Greenwich, RI, having a happy childhood playing softball, skiing and snow boarding. She also loved playing piano and violin.

Besides her father Wayne Clairborne and stepmother Charlene Clairborne, Kenya is survived by her natural mother, Kristina Clairborne, her two brothers; Shaka Clairborne and Miles Clairborne, a sister; Maiysha Clairborne and a life partner; Bryan Durfee. She is also survived by her beloved dog Cassie and three cats, Jumper, Pigpen and Schnaps. She was predeceased by a brother; Christopher Clairborne.
