Malcolm Long Obituary

Malcolm V. Long, 93, of Mohawk Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at home. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Thomas N. and Florence E. (Fawcett) Long.

Malcolm was a truck driver for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, Providence, RI, for twenty years before retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Teamsters Truckers Union.

Malcolm was a US Army Veteran serving in peacetime. He was a boxing coach for through out the State of RI for twenty-two years.

Malcolm is survived by a son; Gary S. Long, a grandson; Jason D. Long, two great granddaughters and four great grandsons. He was predeceased by son; Alan V. Long.

Malcolm’s services will be private.
