Robin D. (Colvin) Wiggins

Robin D. (Colvin) Wiggins, age 65, passed away on May 25th in Birmingham, AL after years of living with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Colvin and her husband, James Wiggins. She is survived by her mother, Joan Colvin; her siblings Brian (Jeannine) Colvin, Lori (Bob) Guay, Gary (Jeanne) Colvin, and Heather (Gary) Card; her children Doug (Deanne) Mattoon, Becky Marsh, Cristian (Kim) Mattoon, and Patrick (Jenn) Lemieux; and her grandchildren Ashley Marsh, Elizabeth Mattoon, Robert Marsh, Parker Mattoon, Evan Lemieux, and Cara Lemieux; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Robin grew up in Coventry, RI and spent many years there before relocating to Florida. She worked as a medical staff coordinator in both places, and ultimately ended up in Anniston, AL. She later moved to Cullman, AL and last lived in Guntersville, AL.

After cancer forced Robin to make an early retirement at the age of 56, she and her husband James spent as much time as possible on various cruise ships (37), exploring the world. Cruising was her favorite pastime, and she was able to take much of her family on one last cruise this past December – it was full of great memories.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Robin at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington St., Coventry, RI 02816 on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 11am-2pm.
