Shirley H. Pickles-Bennett

Shirley H. Pickles-Bennett, 85, of Lantern Lane, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry, RI. Born on September 9, 1935 in East Providence, RI, she was the wife of Richard “Dick” Bennett. They were married for thirty-six years. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ella (Robinson) Pickles.

Shirley was a CNA for eight years before retiring in 1998. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, listening to music, reading at the kitchen table and visiting her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband Richard Bennett, Shirley is survived by three chidlren; Carolyn Rancourt, NC, Sandra McKenzie, ME, and Lorie Resendes, ME, two brothers; Robert Pickles, Kenneth Pickles, a sister; Marjorie Androff, seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son; William Dawson and two sisters; Priscilla Graham and Thelma Pickles.

Her services will be private.
