Life Legacy
Peter D. Suorsa, 55, of Town Farm Road, Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Born in Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Janice M. (Lussier) Suorsa. They were married for twenty-four years. He was the son of Samuel and Shirley (Carr) Suorsa. Peter was President of the Coventry Survey Company of Coventry for twenty-five years. He was a member of the Coventry Conservation Commission, the Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus and the RI Service of Professional Land Surveyors. He is survived by a son; Samuel R. Suorsa, a daughter; Kristina I. Suorsa, and a brother; Paul D. Suorsa and his wife Kathy Guay. His funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Visiting hours are prior from 12:00 (noon) to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Surveying School Scholarship Fund for his son Samuel R. Suorsa, in memory of Peter D. Suorsa, care of Coventry Credit Union, 1584 Nooseneck Hill Road, Coventry, RI 02816.
