Life Legacy
James P. “Poota” Potter, 41, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010 at home. Born in Providence, he was the son of Elynore (Manchester) Potter and the late Ernest J. Potter. He was the stepson of Edward Liebherr. James was a chef in the food industry. He was a graduate of Tollgate High School Class of 1986, attended Johnson & Wales College and was a friend of Bill W. He is survived by a sister; Elizabeth H. Macera and her husband Tom, a girlfriend; Theresa “Terry” Bomba, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His funeral service will be held on Thursday Feb. 25, 2010 at 9:30 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in the Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue, East Greenwich. Calling hours are prior from 8:00 to 9:30 am. Burial will take place in the St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Salvation Army 201 Pitman St., Providence, RI 02906.
