Life Legacy
Harold C. Lawton, Sr., 77, of Laten Knight Road, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Morgan Health Center, Johnston, RI. Born in Cranston, RI, he was the husband of the late Beverly A. (Bramble) Lawton, and son of the late Byron and Evelyn (Williams) Lawton. Harold was a maintenance engineer for East Greenwich Dairy for over forty-five years before retiring in 1994. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He is survived by two sons; Harold C. Lawton, Jr., and David E. Lawton, two daughters; Gail A. Roy and Cathy A. Clayton, a brother; Edward Lawton, three sisters; Lillian Fuller, Virginia Hips and Alice Greenleaf, three grandchildren and a great grand daughter. His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry. Calling hours are Thursday, March 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the All Saints Cemetery, Warwick, RI.
