BiographyRonald T. Allen, 82, of Lionel Avenue, Coventry, RI passed away on Monday, July 05, 2010 at Kent Hospital. Born in Sawley Nottingham, England he was the husband of Jacqueline (Bowler) Allen. They were married for forty years. He was the son of the late Reginald G. and Elizabeth (Drewery) Allen. Ronald was a lace maker - first employed in England then continuing on to various lace companies including Lever Lace, Frontier Manufacturing of Coventry, RI, and American Fabrics in CT for many years. He was a United States resident for twenty-eight years. He was a boy bugler and a Veteran of the Royal Marines. He belonged to the Wincheck Gun Club of Coventry, RI, and the Crompton Vets Club of West Warwick, RI. He enjoyed soccer, baseball, working on cars, woodworking and gardening. He is survived by two sons; Roger Allen and his late wife Marlene and Chris W. Allen and his wife Dawn, one daughter; Donna C. Fargnoli and her husband John, two grandsons; John and Branden Fargnoli and a granddaughter; Cassandra Allen. He is predeceased by a brother; Derek Allen and two sisters; Dorothy and Jill. His funeral and burial services are private. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Kidney Foundation, 125 Carlsbad Street, Cranston, RI 02920. Services will be private. |
