Albert E. Sheldon, 89, of Scituate Avenue, Cranston, RI, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home, Cranston, RI. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late Lewis P. and Cora May (White) Sheldon.
Albert was self employed as a carpenter for forty years until retiring. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge AF & AM of Rehoboth, MA.
He is survived by four children; Albert Cook, David Sheldon, Linda Sheldon and Deborah Olson, a brother; Robert N. Sheldon and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son; Albert Sheldon, two brothers; Eugene Sheldon and Edward Sheldon and two sisters; Emma Roberts and Shirley Bell.
A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, followed by US Military Honors. Calling hours will be held prior from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Woodland Annex Cemetery, Coventry, RI.
