Alma D. (Monk) Blanchette

Alma D. Blanchette, 98, of Chimney Rock Drive, North Kingstown, RI, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Scalabrini Villa Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, North Kingstown, RI, with her loving daughter Lynda holding her hand. Born on March 25, 1920 in Chelmsford, England, she was the wife of the late Ernest E. Blanchette, Sr. and the daughter of the late Stanley and Emma (Perry) Monk.

Alma was a packer for EF Hutchinson, Pawtucket, RI, for twenty-six years until retiring. She belong to the North Kingstown Senior Center and a member of there card league.

She is survived by three children; Lynda Daglieri, Elaine D. Hetu and Ernest E. Blanchette, Jr., seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers; Louis Monk, Dennis Monk, George Monk and Hubert Monk and a sister; Marjorie Monk.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 9:30 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown, RI. A calling hour will be held prior from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
