Amelia "Millie" Ferria, 103, of Dexter Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Brentwood Nursing Home, Warwick, RI. Born on December 11, 1915 in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Jesse Ferria and the daughter of the late Carmine Pompa and the late Angelina (Scotti) Pompa-Antuono and the step daughter of the late Genaro Antuono who raised her as a child.
Millie was a jewelry worker for Dee Jewelry, Cranston, RI, for nineteen years until retiring. She loved her family and everyone was always welcomed in her home.
Amelia is survived by three daughters; Barbara J. Edwards, Dorothy Mendes and Joann Kittila, six grandchildren, fourteen great grand children and seven great, great grand chidlren. She was predeceased by three brothers; Anthony Pompa, Peter Pompa and Alphonse Pompa and two sisters; Patrina Bianco and Antoinette Baccaire.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Burial will be private.
