Anastasia G. (Grossomanides) Bates

Anastasia G. Bates, 94, of 80 Blackrock Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Woodpecker Hill Nursing Home, Coventry, RI. Born in Westerly, RI, she was the wife of the late Clifford A. Bates, Sr., and the daughter of the late George and Mercina (Keriagi) Grossomanides.

Anastasia was an office manager for Sears Company for forty-two years until retiring.

She is survived by a son; Clifford A. Bates, Jr., a daughter; Marcia C. Bates and a brother; John Grossomanides. She was predeceased by a brother; Stephen Grossomanides.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:00 (Noon) in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be prior from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry, RI.
