Beverly R. Turgeon, 66, of Rivers Edge Drive, Coventry, passed away at home on Saturday, June 8, 2019 after bravely battling chronic illness. Born October 3, 1952 in Providence, Bev was the loving wife of Joseph E. Turgeon of forty-five years, and the daughter of the late A. Dana and Myrtle E. (Irons) Farrar.
Beverly spent the majority of her working years as a beauty consultant for CVS, retiring after twenty-five years to better care for her health. She was a proud member of the Country Cruisers Dancing Club at Mishnock Barn in West Greenwich, RI. and particularly enjoyed summers at the beach, horseback riding, dancing, and having a few glasses of wine at girls’ nights out. Always the proud mom, she considered her greatest accomplishment to be the raising of her two children, and her greatest joy to be her four beautiful grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two grown children: Brian J. Turgeon (and his wife Melissa) and Carrie A. Lawrence (and her husband Adam); her brother: Allan Farrar; her sister: Ann Botello; and her four grandchildren: Luke, Alex, Benjamin and Zack.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
