Chanthy R. Phrommavanh, 86, of Hunters Crossing Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry, RI. Born in Laos, Asia, she was the wife of Khamhoung Phrommavanh and the daughter of the late Nga and Lek (Servars) Robert.
Chanthy was a jewelry worker for Swarovski Jewelry, Cranston, RI, for ten years before retiring in 1998.
Besides her husband she is survived by five children; Southary P. Vongsomphou and his wife Khamsing, Viraxay Phrommavanh and his wife Yng, Soneprasith Phrommavanh and his wife Ammone, Rithprakone Phrommavanh and his wife Thanonnou and Phonepraseuth Phrommavanh and his wife Vanna and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter; Vilayphone Phrommavanh.
A buddhist prayer service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be Friday, January 19, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a prayer service to be held at 5:00 pm. Burial will be private.
