I remember when my dad, William M. Henry, worked with Dave at the VA Hospital in Providence. Dave and my dad consistently played practical jokes on the staff. Once my dad gave Mr. Dexter Davis the boiler plant manager a tour of the hospital morgue and dad had Dave pretend to be a corpse laying on one of the slabs as dad explained the mission and function of the morgue. To spook Dexter, dad had Dave slowly rise from the "dead" while he was talking to Dexter. My dad said you never saw a 6 ft 4 inch black man ever run so fast out of the morgue. I always enjoyed visitong dad and Dave at the VA from 1979-1983 when I was a student at Bryant.

I miss you so much papa it's so hard without you. Your birthday is coming up in 3 days. Just know your always on my mind and I never stop thinking about you. I'm very grateful for all of the memories I created with you. I will never forget those memories. They mean so much to me. I remember the one time I slept over with Bella and we played this ice cream game...that was one of the best days ever. I had so much fun. I remember going to McDonalds with you and Grandma and you bought Bella and I Ice Cream from there. I remember all the handshakes you taught me. I love you so much you were such an amazing papa. No one could ever replace you. I hope your partying with Mom and Nana up there. See you someday.
