Dorothy Sousa Obituary

Dorothy E. Sousa, 89, of Main Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry, RI. Born in Comstock, MI, she was the wife of the late Antonio P. Sousa and the daughter of the late George and Effie (Palmer) Rager.

Dorothy was textile worker for many years in the Pawtuxet Valley area until retiring.

Dorothy is survived by a son; Anthony Sousa, three daughters; Patircia Rossi, Ida Sansouci and Jennie LaRoche, three grandchildren; Sabrina, Dawn and Colleen and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son; Richard J. Sousa, a daughter; Shirley Jacques, a brother; Ralph Rager and three sisters; Laura Cole, Helen Crappoff and Beatrice Austin.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
