Elaine A. Pimental

Elaine A. Pimental, 68, of Woodside Avenue, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Coventry Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Coventry, RI. Born in New London, CT, she was the daughter of Antoinette (Pont) Pimental and the late Anthony M. Pimental, II.

Elaine was a guidance counselor for West Warwick High School, West Warwick, RI for twenty-eight years. She was also a history teacher for Woonsocket High School, Woonsocket, RI. She graduated from Salve Regina with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree and Providence College with a Master’s Degree. Elaine had a deep love for her career and education. She had passion for learning and mentoring her students, instilling them with knowledge for success. Outside the classroom Elaine loved to care for her family, especially her mother and beloved son. By her peers and family she was described as a kind hearted and a generous person, who loved unconditionally. 

She is survived by a son; Anthony, a brother; Anthony “Tony” Pimental and his wife Theresa and two nephews; Richard "Ricky" Pimental and Ryan Pimental.

A funeral will held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 8:00 to 10:00 am. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Warwick, RI.
