Elizabeth A. (Aniki) Rue

Elizabeth A. Rue (Aniki) of Coventry, RI, passed away suddenly on June 17, 2017 at Kent County Hospital at the age of 52. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of Michael J. Aniki and Lorraine J. Aniki (Rose). She graduated from Mansfield High School. She married Paul S. Grassey and had her first daughter; Lorraine E. Grassey in 1984. She divorced and then married Robert E. Rue, Jr., the love of her life, in 1988. They had three children; Victoria E. Rue, Robert E. Rue, III, and Catherine E. Rue. Her husband Robert passed away due to a brain aneurysm in 2006.

She leaves behind her four children, and her two granddaughters; Samantha and Sophia. She spent her life taking care of her family, gardening and building with her husband, spending time on the beach, fishing, drinking copious cups of coffee, and above all making everyone laugh until their sides ached. There will be a brief memorial service for Liz at 10:00 am on July 10, 2017 where her ashes will be buried beside her beloved husband Robert, at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
