Joan Bowes Obituary

Joan F. Bowes, 89, of Franklin Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on August 21, 1930, in Boston, MA, she was the wife of Richard Bowes Sr. They were married for sixty-five years. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary D. (Griswold) Waldron.

Joan was a homemaker to her loving family. She was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. Joan was also an avid New England Patriots fan rarely missing a game.

Besides her husband Richard, she is survived by two sons; Richard Bowes Jr. and his wife Cristine and Robert Bowes, four grandchildren; Jennifer Hohmann and her husband Jeff, Stefanie Carr and her husband Jeremy, Dominick Bowes and Joshua Bowes and seven great-grandchildren; Noah Carr, Abigail Carr, Lawson Hohmann, Ella Hohmann, Matthew Hohmann, Dylan Bowes and Annabelle Bowes. She was predeceased by her son, Ronald Bowes.

Joan’s services will be private.
