Joseph Silva, Jr. Obituary

Joseph M. Silva, Jr., 83, of Queen Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on June 6, 1936, in New Bedford, MA, he was the husband of Dolores (Calci) Silva. They were married for sixty-one years. He was the son of the late Joseph M. Sr. and Gertrude (DeMello) Silva.

Joseph was a general laborer for Midville Country Club, West Warwick, RI, for over forty years until retiring in 2018. He was a US Army veteran serving in peacetime. Joseph was also involved with Troop 2 Boy Scouts, Natick, RI, for many, many years.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons; Brian J. Silva and his wife Donna Marrocco, Gregory Silva and his fiancé Susan Lemos and two grandchildren Kalli Silva and Robert DiCristoforo. He was predeceased by a brother; Lawrence Silva.

Joseph’s services will be private.
