Richard J. Desrocher, 75, of Davis Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Hope Hospice & Pallative Care RI, Providence, RI. Born in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Annette L. (Raboin). They were married for forty-three years. He was the son of the late Marcel J. and Regina M. (Lavallee) Desrocher.
Richard was a shipping clerk for Whitman Products, LTD for twenty-five years until retiring. He also worked at Bradford Soap Works in West Warwick, RI for twelve years. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and he enjoyed making hand made furniture.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son; Gregory T. Desrocher and his wife Sarah, a brother; Ronald J. Desrocher and his wife Carol and a sister; Linda Murphy and her husband Martin.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the St. John & James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick, RI. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
