Robert F. Heron

Robert F. Heron, 76, of Scituate, RI, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Kent Hospital, RI. Born in Providence, RI, he was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Schmitt) Heron. They were married for fifty-six years. He was the son of the late Albert and Ethel (Garner) Heron.

Robert was a glazier by profession. He was the former owner of Cranston Glass Company, Warwick, RI and Heron Stained Glass Company, Warwick, RI. He was a member of Glazier Local 1333, Warwick, RI.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters; Robin M. Byrne and her husband James, Kim M. Heron and Karen A. Fiorio and her husband Todd, five brothers; Jack Heron, Joseph Heron, Jeffrey “Chuck” Heron, James Heron and Jeremy Heron, three sisters: Joan Lewis, Judith Sova and Jane Robillard, five grandchildren; Tyler, Roman, Nathan, Jovaana and Amaris and his beloved dog “Grissom”.

A funeral will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 9:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich, RI.
