Tsurue (Mizoquchi) Aker

Tsurue “Mickey” Aker, 84, of Nooseneck Hill Road, West Greenwich, RI, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019, at home. Born on January 15, 1935, in Sasebo, Japan, she was the wife of the late Earl G. Aker Sr., and the daughter of the late Tatsuze and Tsuya (Jamada) Mizoquchi.

Mickey was the owner/operator of Nooseneck Hill Greenhouse, West Greenwich, RI for many years retiring in 2011. She also had a passion for exotic birds.

Mickey is survived by three children; Earl G. Aker Jr, Dwayne B. Aker and Linda M. Grace, nine grandchildren and seven great-grand-children. She was predeceased by a brother; Tadao Mizoquchi.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 10:00 am in the Summit Baptist Church, 1176 Victory Highway, Greene, RI. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be in the Rathbun Cemetery, Coventry, RI.
