Anthony Fortunato

Anthony Fortunato, 68, of Tiogue Avenue, Coventry, RI, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Born on August 30, 1957, in Fitchburg, MA, he was the significant other of Paula Blanchard. They shared forty years together. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Therese (Bourgault) Fortunato.

Anthony worked as a contractor in the construction industry for thirty‑five years. He was employed with Deckhouse Prefab Homes and Carpenter Co.. He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved good conversations, and was known for his friendly nature. He also enjoyed metal detecting, fishing—especially in York Beach, ME—and spending time outdoors.

In addition to his partner, Paula Blanchard, he is survived by his son, Jamie Blanchard; his siblings Jacqui Albert, Marlene Dillon, Donna Dinoto, Mark Fortunato and Lisa Ferreira; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Russell Dupre.

Anthony’s service will be private.
