Avis E. Carlow

Avis E. Carlow, 74, of Border Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. Born on September 24, 1948, in Scituate, RI, she was the daughter of the late Everett L. and Beatrice J. (Sheldon) Carlow.

Avis was a planner for Leviton Manufacturing, Warwick, RI, for thirty years until retiring. She was a member of the American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary William Shields Junior Unit 43, Warwick, RI.

Avis is survived by a daughter; Deanna O’Loughlin and her husband Raymond, a brother; David G. Carlow and his wife Michelle, a sister; Barbara J. Breault, two grandchildren; Connor O’Loughlin and Reagan O’Loughlin, and a dear friend; Laura Mezdurian. She was predeceased by a brother; Everett Carlow Jr. and a sister; Carolyn LaBelle.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
