Barbara T. (Hynes) Fontana

Barbara T. Fontana, 81, of Johnson Boulevard, Coventry, RI, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Kent Regency, Warwick, RI. Born on January 25, 1941, in Queens, NY, she was the wife of the late Ignazio J. Fontana and the daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Mallon) Hynes.

Barbara was a legal secretary for most of her life and was also the first Court Clerk for the Town of Coventry, RI.

Barbara is survived by two sons; Eric Fontana and Jason Fontana and four grandchildren; Evelina, Cecelia, Camdyn and Caelan. She was predeceased by a brother; John Hynes.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
