Barbara (Harrington) Rodda

Barbara Rodda, 88, of Whaley Hollow Road, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Kent Regency in Warwick, RI. Born on June 20, 1937, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Rodda and daughter of the late Arthur F. Harrington Sr. and Yvonne (Lambert) Harrington.

Barbara dedicated 36 years of service as a quality controller at the National Bottle Company in Coventry. Following her tenure there, she worked in the office of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company until her retirement in 1991. In her later years, Barbara found joy and companionship at the Coventry Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo and bocce ball with friends.

She is survived by her three children: Rhonda Armenti (Brian Lima), Tammie Rodda, and Thomas E. Rodda and his significant other Judith Bartley; her sister Eleanor Phillips; grandchildren Brandon Armenti and his girlfriend Alicia Perrotti and Ruby P. Rodda; and great-granddaughter Hazel Grace Rodda. Barbara was predeceased by her siblings Marjorie Salois Russo and Arthur Harrington Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Coventry.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
