Barbara J. Vacha

Barbara J. “Babci” Vacha, 82, of Hopkins Hill Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Born on February 10, 1940, in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Bernice (Jablonowski) Lusky.

Barbara was a medical transcriptionist for Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI, for twenty-five years. She also volunteered her time teaching CCD and humbly worked with the mentally disabled.

Barbara is survived by a son; Russell Vacha and a daughter; Patricia Raposa, a sister; Lorraine Maselko, four grandchildren; Jonathan Vacha, Mathew Vacha, Cody Raposa and Jacob Raposa and two great-grandchildren; Avery Raposa and Daxton Raposa. She was predeceased by a son; Michael Vacha.

A committal service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Greenwich, RI.
