Bernadette A. (Spear) DeGrasse

Bernadette A. “Berni” DeGrasse, 57, of Washington Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at home. Born on November 6, 1966, in Providence, RI, she was the wife of Michael W. DeGrasse. They were married for thirty-four years. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Stasia (Magiera) Spear.

Bernadette was the owner and operator of Heaven Scent Cleaning Company, West Warwick, RI for ten years. She was also a general manager of various business establishments. Bernadette was a member of the Coventry PNA for many years.

Besides her husband Michael DeGrasse, she is survived by three children; Brandon Spear and his wife Sheila, Michaela Bowden and her husband Zachary and Jordan DeGrasse and six grandchildren; Calina Bowden, Ciana Bowden, Jaxson Ouimette, Darian Spear, Dasean Spear and Brandon Spear Jr.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
