Beverly Berchem, 88, of Read School House Road in Coventry, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 6, 2024. Born on May 9, 1937, in Jefferson, Maine, she was the beloved wife of the late Frank R. Berchem and the daughter of the late Everett and Leoloa (Crosby) Bennett.
Beverly dedicated thirty years of her life as a craft specialist at St. Elizabeth Adult Day Care Center in Warwick, where her creativity and kindness touched many. She was a member of the Coventry Historical Society and found joy in quilting, card making, baking, and spending time in nature. She especially loved taking long, peaceful walks. She was also a faithful member of the Sterling Church of Christ, Sterling, CT.
She leaves behind her children Arlene Sweet (Paul), Elaine Peterson (Robert), John Berchem (Tracey), Karen Auger (Vincent), and Lisa Berchem; her sisters Noreen Dutch and Althea Bennett; four grandsons—Jake Berchem, Benjamin Roberts (Amanda), Samuel Roberts, and Joshua Berchem; three great‑grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Beverly’s service will be private.
