Beverly C. Morrarty, 88, of Main Street, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. Born on July 15, 1936, in West Warwick, she was the beloved wife of the late Leon Morrarty Sr. and daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Albina (Gravier) Rathbun.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Beverly served as a cook at Kent Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 1991. In her retirement, she found joy in traveling, playing cards, and sharing her love of bingo—often calling out numbers at the Coventry Senior Center. A devoted member of AARP, she also had a lifelong fondness for birds and a deep appreciation for nature’s quiet beauty.
Beverly is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Robin Folcarelli and Lee Folcarelli; her three adored great-grandchildren, Haley Folcarelli, Samantha Folcarelli, and Nicole White; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Leon A. Morrarty Jr., and her siblings: William Rathbun Sr., John Rathbun, Walter Rathbun, Barbara Williamson, Doris Fuller, Marjorie Raymond, Ethel Breault, Judith Rathbun, Helene Regnaiere, and Jean Webb.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
