Bruce L. Emery

Bruce L. Emery, 83, of Harrington Avenue, Hope, RI, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini, North Kingstown, RI. Born on October 6, 1941, in Central Falls, RI, he was the husband of the late Mary Ann (Carlos) Emery and the son of the late Herman and Algertha (Place) Emery.

Bruce worked for Kent County Water Authority, West Warwick, RI, in the meter department for twenty years before retiring in 2006. He also worked for the Teamsters Local 251 for twelve years. Bruce was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam Era.

Bruce is survived by two children; Kristen Emery and Jason Emery, a brother; Malcom Emery, four grandchildren; Katelyn Cusick, Sarah Cusick, Nina Emery and Ollie Emery and a companion Maria Justa. He was predeceased by a sister, Marcia Battle.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A committal service with US Military Honors will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:30 am in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.
