Chester W. Field, Jr., 79, of Tunk Hill Road, Scituate, RI, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on December 24, 1941 in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Darlene (Staystork) Field. They were married for forty years. He was the son of the late Chester W. Field Sr. and Ethel (Buxton) Casperson and stepfather; Herbert “Sonny” Casperson Jr.
Chester was a laborer for the Dunkin Donuts Center, Providence, RI, for many years before retiring in 2014. He was a member of the Laborers Local 271 and Local Union 1033 Laborers. He enjoyed being with his family and taking vacations.
Besides his wife Darlene Field, he is survived by five daughters; Alicia Matthews and her husband Jason, Kayla Field, Donna Baldinelli, Lori McDonough and her husband John and Brenda-Lee Zabinski and her husband Mark, a brother; Bill Casperson, two sisters; Louise Evans and Pat Laurino, eight grandchildren; Mark, RJ, Jennifer, Amanda, Aimee, Eric, Cole and RJ and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a grandchild; Samantha, a brother; Herbert “Herbie” Casperson III and three sisters; Frances Fantasia, Violet Field and Edith Czerwein.
